Name: Phoebe Jones Age: 18 Gender: Female Appearance: Phoebe is a European mutt. She stands at 5'5" and weighs 150 pounds. She's naturally pale, but developed a farmer's tan from working. Her hair is naturally thick, wavy and frizzy. Phoebe keeps it in a ponytail for convenience. Her eyes are a dull grey-blue and hidden behind thin, oval eyeglasses. (She is very near-sighted and considered legally blind.) She has a natural hourglass figure and breasts on the large side. Her face is what some call a "square shape", and a high hairline that earned her the nickname "Five-head" in middle school. When arriving on the island, Phoebe was wearing her bar's uniform: a black T-shirt, jean pants, a small waist-apron (complete with pockets containing soaked notebooks, pens, tips) and brown work boots. These are her only possessions, for now. Personality: Phoebe is, at heart, an outgoing introvert. She loves being around people, joking, and generally being the life of the party. However, she cannot manage this for more than a few hours. Too much causes her mood to turn south, and she has to calm down to recharge her batteries. The worst for her are loud noises. Anything from exuberant laughter, loud music, wind blowing by, and similar grate on her ears. Doesn't matter if the sound is happy; it still hurts. Phoebe is also diagnosed with clinical depression, an unfortunate genetic trait. She treats this with therapy and the SSNRI escitalopram, one of the safer anti-depressants for teenagers. She will feel the effects of withdrawal of escitalopram within three days in the roleplay. This will bring her down to her darker self, an anxious girl with very low self-esteem. History: Phoebe grew up in a lower-class family. Her early years were spent with both parents in a trailer park in Ohio. Then she and her mother, Shawna, moved to Texas at age 7, as her mother was breaking up (not divorcing, never married) with her father. Phoebe attended school there and quickly became the "weird new girl", as she was acting out her fear and anger caused by the "divorce" during school. She was bullied up until high school. She started therapy in middle school after a brief run away attempt (to get away from the bullies, not from her mother) and was diagnosed with clinical depression. In high school she started taking anti-depressants, the earliest the psychiatrist would risk, as those types of drugs tend to mess with the brain chemicals in dangerous ways. By taking them and also not being bullied anymore, Phoebe felt happier than she ever did in her life. She excelled in all her classes and graduated in the top 10%. She was given a scholarship at a nearby community college and took it. Phoebe aimed for an Associates in Psychology, after being inspired by her therapist through all these years, a nice old black lady named Tonya. Sadly, Phoebe lost many of her closest memories. She retains more from her early childhood; snippets of walking in the snow, wearing a diaper, playing with her father, and cowering while he screams at her mother. She retains the lessons learned from Tonya and Shawna, but not their faces. She will also forget her antidepressants and wonder why her mood will turn south so fast. Misc: Phoebe will feel the withdrawal from her anti-depressant within three days, which will first bring her down farther than her "normal, undrugged" self, and slowly level out. She's a bit of a nudist. Shawna blames herself, saying she let her run around with just a diaper for too long. Phoebe doesn't know why, but she just loves the feeling of upper body nudity. (Pants stay on, though, because sitting while naked is gross.) Is this okay? The appearance is short, but I'm not sure what else to add. I tend to write shorter appearances, as too much detail makes it harder for me to imagine them.
