Somewhat WIP, still need some pictures and some more in depth unit descriptions. But I figured I may as well try to get in!

Brief History: 

As the children of Earth spread themselves amongst the stars far and wide, the people of Earth watched them go. At first, Earth Gov was able to keep control of the newer colonies, whether through international bodies or their own governments, the colonies relied on them for new people, supplies, and terraforming gear. Eventually, though, many of them grew bitter of their ‘distant rulers’, and the separatist thoughts took root.

Though some of them earned their independence through peace, the majority of the new interstellar nations fought tooth and nail with the Old Earth Alliance, and the price of war across the stars grew too great to bear. One by one, the gained their freedom, and with it Old Earth faded from the spotlight as new nations arose in the void. But Earth would not simply give up its dreams of a unified galaxy. Not without a fight.

The new factions would never allow direct intervention of colonies of Old Earth to be set up close to them, for that would invite Earth Gov to begin dictating system policy. Instead, the nations of Earth began sending ‘colonial’ expeditions across the galaxy, apparently independently funded but in reality backed by Old Earth forces. Drawn from the ranks of Loyalists and die-hard ‘Earthers’, these colonies are to be the foothold of Earth in the farthest reaches of space.

This is what brought Rori Noret to the planet of Dacyira. A remote, habitable planet in an unexplored part of the galaxy, the planet of Dacyira also happens to be a strategic location in striking distance of several ‘anti-Earth’ systems. The orders that Rori has are quite clear; whether through force of arms, sabotage, or diplomacy, the planet Dacyira must be at least partially subservient to Earth if the Naasu Sector is to be pacified.

Civilian Assets: 

Owing to the direct but secret aid of Earth, the civilians, what few of them are present, live in prefabricated housing complexes deployed from orbit by the initial colony ships. While not as stylish as some of the other colonies houses, the complexes are easily maintained and provide most of the comforts a colonist may need. Except a colorful environment, as paint isn’t cost effective.

Civilian transport and other amenities also follow this pattern; they are often bulky, but energy efficient things that some might call “tasteless”, but a Raechan colonist can almost always claim (or boast) that his/her transport hasn’t yet given in to the elements since orbital drop.

Military Assets:

As a primarily military operation, the members of the Colonial Forces might say they get the “flashy” equipment. Regardless, the Army, Navy, and Intelligence Office have a variety of tools at their disposal.

Commanded by Alfonso Giovanni, the C.S.S. Redemption is a modified Deliverance-class Frigate, an older Earth design that is still used by various organizations. Re-purposed for Colonization Efforts, she lost the majority of her weapon systems, save her missile launchers and multi-barreled rail cannons. The Redemption still has her armor, and the point defense systems that have made the class famous in service.

With the reduced weapons compliment, the Redemption was able to hold an additional number of civilian and military personnel, along with needed prefab gear. She wasn’t the only ship, however, and was joined by two others of her class, and a dozen Harbinger-class Corvettes and an assortment of gunships.[/hider]

The land-based Colonial Forces are led by Colonel Sofia Zaytesev, in control of the 1st Raeche Colonial Regiment and the two thousand soldiers who follow her. Strict but fair, Colonel Zaytesev makes use of her limited infantry forces with her armored forces, namely the ‘Firestorm’ MBT. Partially based off of Old Earth designs, the Firestorm is nevertheless a deadly tank capable of dealing damage as much as it is taking it. Never subtle, a Firestorm Squadron can be heard for miles, and this alone has been enough to scare off more than one Native attack.[/hider]
