Sam reached into the folds of his coat and pulled out a pair of lockpicks and hastily opened the lock of the warehouse, it belonged to The Sailor's Guild and was where a good portion of their fishing spoils were kept. Keeping to the shadows behind some crates he leant out and saw a guard patrol coming. Waiting until they passed, he slipped out silently and searched for a means to transport the crate full of fresh fish he had just found, their dead eyes looking up at him. He found a cart on rails leading to the front of the building, and just about managed to haul the heavy crate into the rusted cart. Taking off his cost and stuffing it beside the crate in the cart, he attempted to look like he was supposed to be there and started the cart forwards with a laborious push. The guards he had seen walking past early barely seemed to notice them as he trundled past, and he reached the main door of the warehouse without a hitch. As the tracks for the cart stopped, a guard glanced at his cargo and waved for him to take it to the awaiting horse and cart, piled high with fish crates. He wrestled the crate into the cart and the driver started forwards, quickly he slipped out of view of the guard at the warehouse door and pulled on his coat which he had snatched back just as the cart load of fish departed. When the horse and cart turned the corner into a less busy he street, he had planned the site of the hijacking in advance, he leapt into the back of the cart and choked out the driver. Lowering him to the floor he took his hat and grabbed the reins for the cart, steering it towards the market. He set up a stall and shouted repeatedly "High quality fish! Lowest ever prices! All must go!" All went well for a few hours and the bag he had brought was gradually filling with gold, in these impoverished times nobody asked questions about cheap prices. Just as he was about to call out his sales cry again, a group of guards were looking purposeful l, shouldering their way through the crowd towards him. "Oh for gods sa-" he was cut short as he snatched up the bag of gold and broke into a sprint.
