[hider=The road so far]Kayech Del Vinsenia took the throne of Vinsenia about five months ago when he was able to make the Sword of Kings glow. Since then he has marched on every other nation in the Vale, annexing them one after another. Caldegia was the first to fall, giving much-needed flying support to the slow-moving knights and archers of Vinsenia. Next to fall was Del Monray, followed by the Free State of Del Monray that had split off in a civil war a generation or two ago. Now the Vinsenian forces march on Belinni, the last free nation of the Vale. The border town of Charten, on the edge of Belinni, has hired the Carthul Mercenaries as added protection. Bandit activity has been on the rise lately in Belinni, as the Vinsenian army's sweeping march flushes them out of their old hideouts in the mountains. This is where our story begins.[/hider]
