If it wasn’t for Peter, Lexi probably would have gone insane in the hospital. The doctors were in every fifteen minutes checking her vital signs and blood pressure; all of them astounded that she was functioning completely after a few days of being close to legally dead. The young girl cheated death and it was because of a world known doctor and her crazy-yet-loveable boyfriend. She was a “Walking Miracle” according to all the papers but that wasn’t her reason for living. Her patterns are the hospital was interesting. Sometimes Peter would help her walk down the hallways and she’d express that she felt lighter than normal and every time they’d have her step on a scale the doctors and nurses would look confused and write down a massive amount of notes. Peter’s personality would shine through and make some joke about her always being lighter than air but she couldn’t help but feel like there was something going on. In addition to that, her sleep schedule was on the fritz for some reason. She would sleep for a half an hour and be functioning perfectly until she got tired again. Her mom jokingly called them ‘cat naps’ but she couldn’t help but think that there’s some form of truth to that. Everyone was sure it was because of her body returning to normal from everything she had gone through… but Lexi wasn’t so sure. After what felt like ages, the young girl was finally returned home much to the love of the press who attempted to push themselves through the police. With her parents and Peter at her side, Lexi climbed into the back seat of her parents’ vehicle and drove home much to her liking as she laid herself against Peter for comfort. The days went by and Lexi felt more and more better, Peter still came over and a regular basis and even checked on her when he was out on his routes as Spider-Man. She even convinced Peter to join her karate classes, which she seemed to excel in a lot faster than anyone would have ever expected. The more she spent time at home, the more she noticed weird things about her. She climbed onto the scale in her bathroom only to be stunned to see the scale read 50 pounds. What the hell was wrong with her?! ---- Night time was the time for people to run in a crazy fashion on the streets. Two men walked down the street heading towards an older woman. Upon arriving to her as the clock struck 10pm last night they pinned her to the cold stone wall. “Help!” The old woman cried as one of the men rose a large hand to smack her. Suddenly a black thing wrapped around the man’s wrist and he fell backwards with an unexplainable amount of force. “What the fuck?!” He yelled as he fell to the ground with a thud. “Didn’t anyone teach you that you should respect your elders?” A female voice said followed by a laugh. The man who had a hold of the woman looked over his shoulder to see a curvy figure standing about three feet away from his; something retracted towards the hand of the figure, shining objects reflected in the light of the street lamp as the figure stepped into the light. The cat ears on the woman’s head twitched, unless she was bald, her hair was pulled back into the headpiece she was wearing and her eye colors were hidden by the shading to protect from light across her eyes. The only noticeable thing was her lips and the smile across her face showed cat-like fangs. “Who the fuck are you?” The two men shouted in dismay as the one who was pulled to the ground climbed up to his feet once again. “Oh just passing through.” The figure said playfully. “Stopping crime, keeping things in line. Oh just fun things like that. Now how about you leave the lady along and step along.” “No thanks hot-stuff, we’ve got better things to do.” One guy said and unknown to him it would be the last words he’d get out. As he swung to attack her, the figure dodged with ease, delivering a very well timed upper-cut using the man’s momentum against him and causing him to fall. Within moments she had him tied as one would die a pig in a rodeo. Boing! The curvy figure was back on her feet and staring down the other man. The man took his chances, taking a few swings at her only to get himself tied up like his buddy. With that the figure stood up to her feet and saluted the lady before bidding her a good night and throwing her wrist, a long whip few out and the female figure was launched into the air with ease. Going through the city had never been so much fun, the female pulled down a small flap that covered her mouth so she could laugh as she fell stories before catching herself with the extension of her whip and throwing herself into a different direction. It was no surprise where the young lady put herself; a special place where her and her boyfriend had their first date as a couple, atop Time Square overlooking the city. The woman landed on all fours as the whip retracted quickly to her, her landing was dead silent as she pulled herself up to her feet and overlooked the city. Her first time flying around the city by herself, stopping her first crime, why wouldn’t she return to the place that was one of the most happiest times of her life to begin her new journey as a masked hero like her boyfriend? Yes, Lexi Rogers was this masked person and she was happy to have found a new calling in life!
