It happened very fast, too fast for him to predict, let alone stop. "No!" He called out as Olivia jumped onto the back of one of the aliens. He already knew this would make things worse, much much worse. For a lot of people involved. He ran forward but it was too late, the girl and the armed alien had vanished thanks to the tricky teleport. The other two quickly followed the example of the alien and the human girl, leaving the Doctor behind. He clenched his fist and looked around. He needed to ensure that no one else would interfere and mess things up any further. The Doctor felt a tinge inside of his brain but it was nothing new, he had the whole universe contained in his mind, he saw the past, present and future, what had to happen and what couldn't happen. This particular point in history was undefined by anything which meant they could make history for good or for bad. The long haired man sprinted back to the front of the building and went outside. Thanks to the fire alarm, most people were gone but he still found a sign which said "do not enter" and he put it on the door and hurried back inside to et to the bottom of things, quite literally. With his sonic screwdriver still in hand, he moved back to the teleportation tablet and identified it quickly. The readings were fed into his brain and he knew he would have to be very careful. The Silurian weren't all violent, but they were probably curious to inspect their genetic brother, or in this case sister. He was sure they would try to open her up and poke around inside before either killing her, interrogating her or something else entirely. There was still hope that he could find someone who was willing to talk without any intimidation or distress and surely some peace treaty could be made between the two groups. For now he would have to put the fate of the human race in the hands of a very troublesome but earnest girl. How human. The Doctor knew there wasn't any time to waste so he moved to the portal, activated it and was quickly taken down under the earth to the habitat the aliens had made for themselves. It was very clever and cozy though a bit dim. Once he was there, he saw many of the other Silurian were sleeping, still in a deep hibernation. 'It seems she woke a few up, better than a whole army.' He mused lightly and began to walk around, his sonic screwdriver in hand but not yet activated or glowing. He thought he heard someone faintly calling out for him. The alien's heart rate jumped slightly but he forced himself not to just sprint around the facility like a mad man and make matters worse. As much as he dreaded it, he would need to tread lightly when it came to finding Olivia and then trying to work out some negotiations. His two hearts relaxed slightly as he kept walking, his eyes moving from green being to green being. They were sleeping, standing up as if items on a shelf waiting to be plucked. The Doctor came to a cross and used his screwdriver to point him in a general direction. Surely their maze of hallways and rooms would confuse a guest. He took a right and then about ten seconds passed and he turned around and went the opposite direction. The Doctor continued along the labyrinth, turning whenever his gut told him to. He came into a large camber with tables and seat and he assumed it was a place which would be suitable for discussion. He turned around and was about to go back to exploring and searching when an older Silurian blocked his path. This one wasn't a warrior type at all, no this one seemed to hold more grace and authority. "Excuse me, hello. Didn't mean to intrude, my friend has been taken down here and I'd like to retrieve her if you don't mind." He said very calmly and casually. The Doctor then held out his psychic paper to show he was someone of importance on earth and quickly put it away, his other hand still loosely holding his sonic screwdriver. "I would also like to open the idea that we could perhaps restore the peace, my friend accidentally summoned some of your troops and the earth humans mean no one any harm but we don't want to start a war so if casualties could be avoid, that would be brilliant." He tried to explain. The Silurian in front of him breathed in deep and then out. Still, the Doctor was pretty hopeful that something decent could be reached to help both species. The man nodded, "I think something can be reached, the soldiers who attacked you were going against orders but we will straighten this out." "Thank you." Then they headed along, the Doctor quick on the man's tail as they found where Olivia was being stashed. It seemed that they had locked her up in some kind of small medical lab where they were aiming to cut her up and observe her physical functions. The man who the Doctor had found quickly put a stop to it and ordered they let the human go, it took some talking back and forth before she was let out of her restraints. He pulled her over next to him, often protective of even the most precocious of humans. Her intentions were good albeit rash and unnecessary but those were qualities that made humans a bit endearing. "Now that this is all settled I won't just leave without aiming to work something out." He proposed. He slipped an arm around Olivia's shoulders and led her back out of the cramped room and into the hall which was probably not much better, it was a little less threatening at least. "You shouldn't have done that, you could have been killed. I know what I'm doing; you don't." He lectured her. Then he smiled and patted her head, "Glad you're okay though, I can't have them keep you down here like a pet!" He laughed as the other Silurian came out and they headed back to the large chamber where they could talk without weapons. Weapons to him were too much, unnecessary and just pointless. Once they were back on a neutral ground, of sorts, He took a seat on one of the long benches, swinging one leg over, straddling it. The Doctor looked to Olivia and then to the others were still present. "What do you think?" He asked her. "Do you think the human race is ready to meet their ancestors?" It seemed, even though they came up and wound up in Oxford, it seemed like the time wasn't right yet. "How about giving it about a century?" He suggested. Olivia seemed to agree that it might be enough time. He stood up and shook hands with the Silurian man who seemed to hold the highest of authority. "Thank you, things could have escalated there." He smiled and looked around as the few warriors begrudgingly retreated. "You can go back the way you came and we'll disable the transport for now." "Will do." The Doctor saluted and hurried off with Olivia. He wasn't too sure what to do with her now. He didn't think he'd find another companion so soon but he also wasn't sure if she'd be able to handle life in the TARDIS if she kept acting without thinking. As they made their way back to the teleport and activated it, he still wasn't sure what to do. 'Can she go back to living a normal...dull life as a historian?' He wondered. Most of the human history was wrong and very stunted in its knowledge and upholding of history. He stepped back and knocked on the stone and nothing happened, rather glad there was no way to mess with the alien race for now. He looked around the room and slipped his sonic screwdriver back into his chest pocket. "Well Olivia, it's been rather interesting but I must be on my way, places to save, people to see, things to do, thoughts to well...think." The Doctor smiled. As he headed for the exit, he slowed down a little, the loneliness in his heart acting like emotional quicksand. "Aaaactually....would you like to see something?" He turned around to Olivia with a goofy smile. He grabbed her hand and pulled her along with him until they reached a plain blue police call box. He let go of her hand and fished out his key and unlocked it. "So unsuspecting, so faithful, so very alien." He said excitedly and pushed open the door and was about to hop inside but then decided he should let the lady in first. He stepped out of the way and motioned for her to take a peek inside. "Welcome to my spaceship." He said proudly.
