Gin found little relief, even as Effy spoke and gave him another, very emotionally charged kiss. While he could tell what emotions they were, he couldn't quite 'feel' them as he usually did. He felt numb in an odd sense that he couldn't quite place. His chest was still quite heavy, he wanted to beat himself to death over something he had no control over. He had the faint, distant thought of wishing he was human. If he was human, he wouldn't have had to see tears like that from Effy, nor all of that fear of him. But if he wasn't what he was now, he would have never met Effy, nor would he have ever been able to protect her as he had and would continue to do. With a light shake of his head, Gin shook off the thoughts, though the heaviness remained on his chest. He manged to pick his head up, steadily regaining some of his usual stance. Somehow he managed to shuffle past Effy and open the door for her, closing it behind them with a soft sigh. "I am really going to miss this place. My favorite spot in the entire city." Which was very true. Gin loved Effy's home, maybe more than she did. The place held her scent so well and he loved it. "Maybe we can come back someday. Maybe sooner rather than later." As they began to leave the building, Gin tilted his head from side to side, finally deciding to answer her previous question. "Shapeshifter." He states simply as his eyes quickly start to scan around cautiously, pushing his mind free of all the worry he was holding in until they were somewhere at least a bit safer.
