Well gas explosions aren't annihilating. They burn, crush by immense force, and emit shock waves.
Still could blow a leg off if used properly, but most the damage she'd be doing is burning and knocking people away. Her bio does also say she has limits on it. From my understanding if she became to annoying she could be obliterated in her charge up time.
