Hikari then appeared behind the old man, Kaze rūsu enhancing his speed mixed with the speed he already possessed made him deadly fast. The wind was strong enough to throw the old man off his feet if he wasn't careful. Hikari swung his Shikai aiming to cut the old man's back.

Hollows are merely tortured souls in which we purify...yes we purify them to keep the balance between the worlds but have you ever asked yourself why hollows still rampage around being allowed to do as they please? why is that the Shinigami will purify a few hollow one day then let them do as they please the next? or have you failed to see that? Hollows ruining people's lives and in turn creating more of them...opposed to merely trying to contain the issue and in turn save Souls the Shinigami deal with it in a brutish way and let souls suffer whilst they kill of the hollow numbers to keep things balanced...it's like an eye for an eye.
