Well, I assumed you didn't want him to have to face a pissed off Inquisitor and his death cult. Jedi don't do well against Flamethrowers... Or bullets for that matter. Which is why Slugthrowers are so good against Jedi. And considering the power of a Boltgun, trying to block one of the bullets would likely take Anie's arm off.
