No, i'm not talking about the force, here, i'm talking about his lightsaber. Boltgun rounds are highly explosive, built to rip through the skull of a Greater Daemon and splatter his cranium across the sand behind him. The recoil from it exploding on Anies lightsaber would cause such whiplash in his arm, it would either break it or tear it clean off.

Also, NuCanon states that all of the Old Republic stuff is canon (Really, there is absolutely no point in rendering that defunct, as it has no bearing, whatsoever on their new timeline.) and they had personal stealth generators in that.
