Ruru's family was one of the first to allocate to the village, even though it is only himself now. His parents, when he was about ten, decided to scout far outside of the village for herbs and never returned. Though by that time the young cat-eared boy had learned most of their skills with the plants and herbs that they used to make potions, for medical use and otherwise. It was only a bit later that he learned how to mend the wounded plants and trees, and eventually how to force them to grow in or out of season! Many of the plants that he could not grow near or in his own home he hand to find outside in the forests and elsewhere on his own. This lead him to quite an exciting daily life of running about and exerting his natural agility and acrobatic skills. He was a very good child, and since he had no remaining family, he had a lot of help from fellow villagers. Many brought him hunting with them, fishing, and the alike. As he grew older he began to participate in sparring matches, learning quite quickly from older Guardian's and sparring partners that he could be rather adept at combat. It didn't take him long, but eventually he was fighting on par with them. It was like second nature to him, and since he was so naturally flexible and agile because of his feline blood, he found it to be a good way to burn all his energy! After a while he decided he wanted to join the Guardians, which was relatively easy for him, seeing as various older Guardians already knew of his combat prowess and countless villagers stepped up to be vocal about his morals and the alike. A short time after that he was asked to become a teacher by someone that was retiring. Since he had the time and found enjoyment in teaching children and others he jumped right in and has been helping teach since. As far as his aspirations have gone as he has gotten older, they really have not changed. He find joy in his simple life of teaching, hunting, and collecting herbs and making potions. Though on some levels he truly dreams of a day that there will be more action, or violence for him to help deal with.
Point of Interest:
'Tree of Nesting'. Just a short walk outside of the south part of the village there resides a rather large, red leafed tree. It is very colorful and has many different kinds of fruit growing from its branches and vines, along with countless kinds of flowers one might not find around the village. Many of its branches have been carefully molded by Ru-Ru over the years to allow others to climb the tall tree, and some of the branches themselves are shaped to allow one to sleep there if they so wished. The bottom of the tree is a bit unusual, it had started to rot at some point before Ru-Ru found it. But with his careful help and melding of it with another tree, he managed to form the bottom into a decently sized room. Though there are a few holes for windows, there is no door. Very soft moss covers the insides along with vines. There are a few places were a table and shelves have been molded from the tree, allowing for storage and a place to make potions. Ru-Ru often calls this 'his' tree, as he worked so very hard to keep it alive, it is where he makes all of his potions and the alike, even where he sleeps most of the time! But in truth it is a place for people to come and go freely, the tree has a very homely, welcoming feel to it. The tree virtually has no rules, though Ru-Ru has warned people not to take all of the fruit or to pick any of the flowers... Something about the tree becoming very upset! Though as to date, the tree hasn't hurt anyone.
