- Xanthus and Lily - He heard someone calling out after him in an angry tone and turned to see another girl Lily was heading to. Wait... She was... crying? He felt his chest well up inside, her throat went dry and he felt like he couldn't breathe. Why was she crying? He knew why but he still didn't... understand. Why would she cry when she saw him? Was it just.. shock? He didn't know. He was so confused and... guilty? But what was he guilty for?! He knew he needed to leave her alone but his feet had other plans. He hurried over to her and the girl, his expression worried. "I didn't... Lily... Don't cry, baby..." This sent another shock wave through Lily and her tears came harder. Not because she was hurt or sad but because of his tone and his words, how sweet he sounded. Memories flooded back and she didn't know how to handle it. She couldn't see him right now but she didn't want Carmen to yell at him. "I'm... fine. Yeah, Matt... You go put the guns away. I'll see you later..." She managed through a torrent of tears. She needed to get herself put back together. She turned to Carmen with a shaky smile. "I just need sometime away but I don't need to be alone. I'd had to ask this of you but could you take me back to my room? I'm not angry with him and he's done nothing wrong I'm just... in shock." She explained, wiping the tears away. Her voice was still shaky but she seemed to have a handle on herself now at least for the most part but that was because she was turned away from Xanthus and he wasn't talking anymore. Xanthus took a step back as she spoke to her friends, taking in a heavy breath. The air around him felt thick and hard to breath, the world was going dark. He knew he shouldn't react this way but his body just... He felt like she hated him and he didn't know why.
