Article I - The United States of America, having assisted the noble Japanese people in taking their rightful place on the world stage, pledges friendship and economic assistance to the Empire of Japan in the form of prosperous trade and designating Japan with "Most Favored Nation" status.

Article II - The Empire of Japan, acknowledging her potential as a global power as well as the efforts of the United States to move her along, pledges friendship and economic assistance to the United States of America in the form of prosperous trade and designating the United States with "Most Favored Nation" Status

Article III - In the name of greater cultural understanding each country will open consulate offices to supplement their diplomatic missions in the other's country. The cities of Edo in Japan and San Francisco in the United States have been designated the locations for the consulate offices.
