Name: Kumazawa Takeo (Kumazawa's the family name because asians) Age: 26 Gender: Male Race: Human Character theme: Appearance: Kumazawa Takeo, in all his manly, scruffy glory. Whenever he's not walking around in his traditional fundoshi underwear he dons a loose, thin white robe which of course he can discard with the utmost ease. Occupation: Fry cook, powering an oil mill, occasional hired strongman Skills: Sumo wrestling, deep-frying foodstuffs, identifying edible materials, powering an oil mill Powers: While not particularly agile, Kumazawa is monstruously strong and tough via training in the Iron Body Technique. He can withstand tremendous amounts of punishment without ill effect and he is able to pulverize rock and bend or break metal with his hands as well as easily overcome toxins, poisons and disease. That last bit means he can probably chug down a vat of regular moonshine to no ill effect. Inventory: Kumazawa carries no special items with him. History: Kumazawa's ancestors, a family of farmers, arrived to Kado Village along with the first wave of refugees and survivors from the gods' rampage, a humble but decent and driven lot with few ambitions beyond eking out a passable living from the land. Their only distinguishing trait was their preservation of sumo, a form of wrestling directly connected with their religious rituals which they never shared or even showcased for others unless it was absolutely necessary, refusing to participate in the Full Moon Quarry's contests despite many a challenge being issued and only using the simplest techniques to stop a petty criminal or two when no guardians were around. A well meaning but irresponsible and adventurous boy, Kumazawa Takeo studied sumo well beyond its religious applications and eventually managed to achieve a fair level of mastery in the use of the Iron Body Technique, an ancient art meant to turn the human body into a weapon. His family dissaproved, but said nothing and their relationship with Takeo remained a good one as he still helped with the farm. After the sad but completely natural death of his parents, however, Kumazawa decided that a life of farming and not ever using his considerable skills in sumo was not for him. Beyond adventuring and combat, he wished to cook, a desire born from his own ravenous appetite. One method in particular caught his eye. Knowledge gleamed from some books determined that sesame, which a down on his luck family friend known as Uncle Masa had access to, could be used to make oils, which could then be used to cook any foodstuff and greatly add to its flavor. Together, Masa and Kumazawa established a sesame plantation and oil mill and set about creating an eatery with this method. Not only was Kumazawa's great strength instrumental in getting the mill running but he proved to be a natural at this form of cooking known as "deep frying", which quickly became a big hit in Kado. Nowadays Kumazawa splits his time between tending to the mill and eatery and indulging in his taste for adventure and combat, often venturing outside the village to bring back new and exciting things to fry, which he usually has to kill with his own two hands. Despite his love of combat, he has yet to participate in a Full Moon Quarry contest. Point of Interest: -Kumazawa Farm: Located wherever there's enough room for it in the town (I seriously have no clue), all of it is a rather recent construction compared to many other buildings within Kado. The whole place is made up of a small two-story building, a pair of sesame plantations and an oil mill. The two-story building stands at the forefront of the farm and its lower floor acts as a fast food eatery where people can drop by to acquire a variety of deep fried goodies cooked on the spot, while the upper floor is where Kumazawa and Uncle Masa live. The pair of sesame plantations aren't too large, only requiring a few workers to function, but their output is more than enough. The mill stands at the tail end of the plot of land and needs to be powered by a large animal or, more often than not, by Kumazawa himself.
