– Kathy “Thank you. I’ll take good care of it, I promise.” Obviously elated to have the photo, Kathy smiled warmly at Crash and looked at the photo once more. Laughing she asked, “Do you have an ‘after’ photo to go along with this?” She was teasing him, but was partially being serious about the inquiry. Her curiosity had been piqued and she wanted to see what kind of vandalism had been put on his face now. Nodding she prepared for the first round of questions, feeling a bit nervous about the mischievous look the shapeshifter was sporting. Then hearing the first question, she was caught completely off-guard by it. She wasn’t sure what she would have been expecting really, but that question was certain not one she would have expected by a long shot. “Er…” Remembering the rules, she quickly thought of something and answered, “Crash in disguise.” Then hearing the next question she thought, ‘Oh, already?’ Apparently 10 seconds went by pretty quickly when you needed it. “S-Sweet.” This time she ended up rushing her answer and didn’t even use up more than a couple of seconds. Catching Crash’s smile with the 3rd question she smiled and replied, “A cat.” The next one, however, was quite difficult and she wasn’t entirely sure it was a fair question to ask with just 10 seconds on the clock. However, just before her time was up she answered, “Living.” Normally she would have answered ‘life itself’, but that was 2 words so she had to make with a substitute. As if being able to read his thoughts when he asked the question about the 3 different articles to wear, Kathy raised her hand up and attempted to flick Crash’s forehead. “Knitted reindeer sweater.” She poked the tip of her tongue out at him, not admitting that she actually had one left somewhere in her dorm room for the winter season. “Mario.” Raising her brow, she gave him a quizzical look at that one before moving on to answer the next. “Maybe…” She also smiled at the last question. “50 first dates.” Noticing his distraction, Kathy peeked over at the photo he had in his hand. She instantly guessed that they were his parents. The woman especially seemed to resemble Crash greatly. She opened her mouth to ask about them, but stopped as she recalled something. ‘Mercy… Gave him a place to go when he needed it right..?’ That was odd, no matter how she thought about it. Having some form of trouble with parents, be it personal issues or actually losing them altogether, it wasn’t exactly an uncommon story in Athalia Academy so… She closed her mouth and decided not to ask about it. Instead, she decided to focus on coming up with some questions for Crash to answer. “Let’s see…” Kathy smiled and began, “Alright. First question: sweet, salty, or savory?” Kathy was trying to be fair and keep track of 10 seconds between each question, but she didn’t exactly have the best sense of time so she was fairly certain she was going a little too fast or slow at times. “What’s the first thing you do in the morning?” Having finished helping him unpack, she joined him at the edge of the bed. There was space for about one more person between them as she looked up at him and continued her line of questions. “Strangest form you’ve ever shifted into?” Kathy accidentally waited far longer than 10 seconds after that question, already having trouble thinking up stuff to ask him. In reality she had quite a few questions she would’ve wanted him to answer, but something that could be answered in just 10 seconds and appropriately light for the mood right now were requirements she had to think about. “Oh, oops. Next is… What is your shoe size?” She laughed a little at that question, wondering where that had come from. Then smiling with a hint of mischievousness in her eyes she asked, “What can you put inside a bucket to make it lighter?” That really wasn’t so much a ‘question’ as it was a ‘riddle’, but she decided to go with it. “How many times have you lost or broken your phone?” She was assuming that it had to have happened at least once with all his clumsiness. Then, she thought of something she was quite curious to know about. “What’s your first memory of me?” She had a feeling that he didn’t really know when he had first made an impression on her, and thought it could be a good time to check if she was right. Then, she laughed as she returned a question to him. “Between that frog shaped shower cap, knitted reindeer sweater, or a pink tutu... Which one would you choose then?”
