Six moved into the ship as it opened, nodding passingly to Varus as he stepped up the ramp, and taking an out-of-the-way seat in the back of the vehicle. He was new, after all, and though generally he would have gone for a more forward seat, he usually had Hark with him, and they were usually among the first out of the vehicle. Varus had made it plenty clear this was a test run--although he really couldn't say why. Couldn't be judged on skills he wasn't using, after all--but in training he'd also been pushed to the forefront of everything, tested thoroughly in the most simple way he could be, and he'd come out alright. Couldn't say it didn't make sense, though, either--couldn't have some new guy botching a mission. One hand, that would usually have rested on Hark if only for his grounding presence, clung a little tighter to the seat below him. He'd gotten so used to having his partner there, and in four years of existence as himself, knowing a guy for half of it made him closer than family. He doubted he'd feel comfortable again until Hark was back on this ship with him.
