Rennac was somewhat surprised he got even the slightest praise out of Jack, having figured he was at least taking a step in the right direction. He began with a diagnostic of their comm systems, checking if they were dead outright or if there was interference. If nothing was affecting them than it was likely some sort of projectile based attack. If he had trouble getting through, then he had to assume it was some sort of field that caused the crash.
