Is considered by many to be.... well crazy if put lightly. He is incredibly strict and caring about his machine. Constantly saying prayers to the machine spirit and trying to appease the Omissiah. He is meticulous about his vehicle and its general well being. Yest aside from this devotional streak he is a very calm person. Only swearing or prone to outbursts of any emotion at all emotion when he is sealed inside of his beloved Executioner. Even then the outbursts are rare but they do happen from time to time during the more heated assaults. As such his crew are the only ones who have seen this side of him. They also do not speak of these episodes, some of them believe it is his constant viligence and prayer that keep the venerable plasma weapon from overloading or even exploding after all these years. Maybe he actually can speak to the machine spirit? Whatever the case they are more than content to keep whatever happens inside the tank, between themselves. And after serving in an Executioner for so long they have developed a similar mindset to their commander and are fervent in their care of tank. To the rest of the company and his commanders have and most likely never will hear him roar profanities at the enemy as the plasma destroyer obliterates another foe or melts an enemy bunker on top of its occupants. Commander Bio: Sergeant Thark took command of his current tank nearly three years prior. His old Annihliator having been destroyed by the archenemy during a particularly vicious engagement. If it wasn't for the heretics terrible aim with their first two shots he doubted himself and his crew would have gotten out in time. Luckily the emperor was with him that day, or at least thats what he has to assume. Whether they were aiming that Krak Missle at their fuel tanks or their Ammuniton storage they missed entirely. If nothing else the crew was able to escape before the heretics had a chance to reload for a third attempt. His second command since that day he was assigned something newly arrived from the forge world of Ryza. One of the ever feared Executioner Battle tanks. Most men didn't see one of these. As far as he knew no other forge worlds aside from Ryza were even willing to try and attempt to create one of these monstrosoties. Like most men his heart sank when he was given this assignment. Few men wanted such a piece, fewer men survived when the great plasma coils overheated and burst, cooking the tank and its occupants. But like a true life long solider he accepted the assignment with nod and a loud 'Sir' in confirmation of his new orders. In truth there were no other replacement vehicles being brought out with that shipment. Certainly no tank killers like what Thark and his crew were using for nearly two years prior. SO faced with either being left behind until an exact replacement of a semi rare annihilator found its way into the regiment. Or taking the chance at death. He took his chances. What surprised him in the next few engagements was how ….effective the plasma destroyer could be. The first few times he fired the powerful gun it took all of his willpower not to jump out of the tank when the thermometers jumped off the scale. Indeed he even had to order his crew to remain inside the vehicle. Not something he had ever had to do before. But suprisngly quickly the temperature was vented. And he took a good look at the lump of red hot molten goop that was the enemy. Nearly a half hundred tonnes of metal reduced to nothing in a matter of seconds. Even his old Annilhilator couldn't hope for these results. He was speechless, and remained that way throught the rest of the battle. He picked his shots carefully, he from rumors and stories that the plasma destroyer was infamous for its few shots. Still what ones he made were impressive to say the least. Enemy formations and vehicles weren't mearly destroyed or broken, they were rendered completely useless and hoplessly beyond repair, even if you could discern what the bubbling molten mass was before it was shot anyway. Over the years with this vehicle there were close scraps to be sure, coolant tanks were ruptrued, Damage sustained ot the hull. The containment field threatened to short our twice after taking direct hits through the rear armour that scraped the power supply in the rear. But through the Emperor's grace and pure luck the machine spirit always pushed itself a little harder for its crew. But there is no weapon in the regiment as effective at emptying a bunker, obliterating a foe in tank or even just in a nearby building, and even opening holes in fortress doors and walls large enough for literaly a line of Lemen Russ to plow through. Upgrades: Thark and his crew make sure their vehicle has everything it needs, He feeds it oil and fuel like one would feed a babe. Carefully and just enough, never to much. Second cooling tank- Thark learned quickly that in a heavy fight, even emptying one full tank could not be enough. And he could not always wait for the coolant to be finished before being forced to fire again. He installed a second coolant tank just in case the first was ever ruptured. Extra armour plating was installed over the rear of the tank, unlike most who simply leave the lighter armour be. He does not care about losing a few clicks an hour if it means he can continue firing without fear of his fuel tanks or coolant tanks being ruptured. The extra plating is over top of the coolant tanks and the coils leading to the Plasma destroyer for protection. Being able to cool the weapon quickly is life or death, in more way than one. They cannot risk the coils being damaged or the tanks ruptured if the weapon is threatening to overload itself. While it wont stand up to any form of anti armour, it will protect against small arms fire and basic explosions from grenades and the like. Extra armour over the sides of the tank are for self explanitory reasons. Track guards- Self explanitory. All of the extra wieght in added armour do slow him down, but he considers it worth the price.
