Name: Manus Race: Human Sex: Male Class: Mage Gender Identity: Heterosexual Male Age: 23 Height: 6.2 feet tall Weight: 80 kilograms Appearance:

Equipment: Armor: His cloak which he seems to wear at almost all the time. Weapons: Tomes of Fire, Wind and Lightning. Other: A pretty standard but solid knife, various books that are either blank or continue some of his writings, a writing kit that is restocked whenever the opening presents itself, a portable homemade looking telescope. Personality: Manus is friendly enough when talked to but more often then not he will keep to himself, thinking over things that are simply centuries, if not millennium ahead of his time. Manus is somewhat distant from his peers simply because any conversation that delves into what he is working on or thinking about results in him having to explain (IE, dumb down) concepts that are must likely completely alien to the listener. To his credit however Manus is more then willing to take the time to explain the strange thoughts running through his mind to those willing to listen; knowledge was meant to be shared after all. In his free time, Manus likes to write down the formula and ideas that run rampant through his mind; the act of pinning them down to a page helping him not only work out some of the missing gaps, but also putting him somewhat at ease that if the worst should happen he would leave something behind for those who follow him to expand upon.
Manus has always been a bright boy; It was an attribute that had gotten him selected to be a student of one of the greatest minds in the country, Sage Monty of the Python Academy. Sage Monty was a truly wise man who desired to learn all the secrets of the universe that he could but as the years passed by and he started to leave the prime of his life, Sage Monty saw his limited life span and reconsidered his approach to completing the goal of his life; Instead of learning everything one at a time, he would create a spell that would allow him to learn all the secrets of the universe at once. Using his students to his advantage, the Sage incorporated them into a spell array in order to help spread the effects of the spell, figuring out very early on that one mind wouldn't be able to handle the strain of all the universes secrets at once. Gathering twenty of his brightest students (One of him was Manus), Sage Monty started the spell. As the spell was just about to reach its climax, Manus noticed one of the older students abandon his position in the array. Fully aware of the risks and dangers associated with the spell if it was cast correctly, Manus didn't want to find out what would happen if things were clearly going to go wrong. Abandoning his own position in the array just as the spell was completed. For a fraction of a second, Manus was exposed to a fraction universe and cosmos in all of its beauty and terror before falling out to the ground unconscious. Those who were still in the array and suffered the full crushing weight of the cosmos itself died as their brains died from the strain of trying to hold it all in. Manus wasn't the same when he awoke. Must of the memories of his life prior of Sage Monty's ritual were no more, cast aside in order to help him make room for the knowledge that was magically implanted into his head. While most of it arrived all mixed up and in some cases incomplete, being exposed to the knowledge of the cosmos itself has given Manus a very humbling perspective of the world he lives on. With his master dead and the Python Academy closed down after the incident since so many of its star students had been killed at the same time, Manus was left on his own to support himself. While at first this wasn't really a problem as Manus started to piece together the twisted, sometimes broken up information that was magically implanted into his head he started to become somewhat... unhinged. Pretty soon, it was next to impossible for Manus to find meaningful work or a school to study in due to his degrading mental state of mind. Leaving his homeland behind, Manus turned to the one career in which people wouldn't care about his state of mind provided he got the job done; Mercenary work.
Likes/Dislikes: Manus likes educated discussion, educating others, spending some time alone to write down his thoughts and astronomy Manus dislikes Drinking, awful rackets that disturb him when he is either writing or trying to sleep, those that stifle education, learning and the spreading of knowledge for ignorant and selfish reasons, the fact that he is slowly going insane. Other: Hopes to one day start his own academy and take on students of his own so that he could have a lasting impact on the sciences... before he loses his mind.
