[b]Bio[/b]: Maria grew up with a pretty normal life, except for the little mishaps that her magical abilities sometimes caused. Her parents just thought her to be strange, but the day that the letter from Hogwarts arrived, they realized just how much potential their little girl had. Throughout her years of education, she seemed to always surprise her parents with what she had learned at Hogwarts. Maria excelled in all of her classes, which often confused others about the reason behind putting her in Hufflepuff. Nonetheless, Maria continued to be proud of her House and helped add points to the scoreboard, even though she honestly didn’t understand the point of a competition between the four houses. She often faced discrimination from the bullies, like Draco Malfoy, due to her muggle parents, but she always turned the other cheek.

Maria was proud when Cedric was chosen to compete in the Triwizard tournament. They had spoken a few times when they were relaxing in the Hufflepuff common room, and she knew that he had a chance to win. Unforunately, she was in the stands when Harry returned with his body. She and the rest of the Hufflepuff house were devastated by his loss. The initial shock of it all shook Maria to her bones. The return of Voldemort worried Maria, especially when the bullying worsened.

Soon later, Dumbledore began to be questioned. She joined Dumbledore's Army because she truly believed in him. She began to practice Defense Against the Dark Arts, often helping others with the spells when Harry, Ron, and Hermione were busy. After Dumbledore died, Maria felt even more frightened of the Death Eater's. During the summer leading up to her seventh year, she spent all the time she could practicing and spending time with her family. Now, on her way back to Hogwarts, she worries whether she'll finish her last year at all.

[b]Personality[/b]: While Maria is intelligent, her personality helps explain why she was best suited in Hufflepuff. She is kind, patient, loyal, straightforward, and works hard to achieve her goals. While she is nice to everyone she meets, she never forgets a cruel word or action, but never holds it against someone until they need to hear a good lecture. She would be described as more of a tougher Hufflepuff than the rest in her house, but she does wear her heart on her sleeves at times.
