"Shiranui, long time no see!" said a voice that Shiranui recognised.
"Likewise, Ami," Shiranui replied.
"I have someone who will truly pose a challenge for you," stated Ami, "Go Cindy!"
"Kettobasu, I choose you!" As Shiranui's Hitmonlee materialised in the arena, Shiranui saw what looked like a cross between a hawk and a [i]luchador[/i] emitting some sparkles that indicated it was a shiny Pokémon. He pulled out his Pokédex and scanned the newcomer.
"[i]Hawlucha, the Wrestling Pokémon. Although its body is small, its proficient fighting skills enable it to keep up with big bruisers like Machamp and Hariyama.[/i]" The bell rang and the bout was on.

"Cindy, start with Hone Claws!"
"Kettobasu, Attract!" The shiny Hawlucha brandished its talon-like claws and made them sharper. Kettobasu showed off an array of kicks and Cindy fell for the Hitmonlee's courtship ritual.
"Cindy, use your signature move! Flying Press!"
"Kettobasu, Blaze Kick!" Cindy leaped into the air and executed an aerial body slam. Kettobasu's leg ignited as he kicked up at the descending Hawlucha. Cindy landed and got up and Shiranui noticed that Kettobasu's attack left the Hawlucha burnt.
"Cindy, Roost!"
"Kettobasu, Earthquake!" Cindy recovered most of the damage she took and Kettobasu seized the chance and gave the arena a stomp, causing it to shake violently. Cindy fell over and took more damage.
"Cindy, Flying Press!"
"Kettobasu, Mega Kick!" The love Cindy felt prevented her from attacking and Kettobasu seized his chance and gave the Hawlucha a powerful kick. Cindy struggled to get up and just when she stood tall, her burn made itself known and the shiny Hawlucha succumbed to it, falling down. Cindy was knocked out and Shiranui made the grand final where he had to face his own friend Liam and his Hitmonchan.
