Steve's mind was racing. He hadn't been this nervous since... well... his first and only kiss with Peggy. He stood outside her door as she talked, Steve couldn't get the smile off his face. He nodded, looking down at the ground then back up at her. "2... 2 O'clock sounds great." He said, his hands now in his pockets... He started to stare a bit more than he should have. Her long legs, curvy body, blonde hair, and those familiar eyes! Let's not be known as the creep across the hall, Rogers... he warned himself. He blinked giving another nod. "If you need anything, my door's always open." He had no idea that she was more than capable of protecting herself, but that didn't stop Steve's helpful nature. He stayed out in the hall stupidly until she closed her door. As if he didn't look dorky enough... Steve kept his smirk as he turned and pulled out his key, opening the door to his own apartment. The home of Captain America was probably something you were expecting. An old American flag was framed on the hallway wall. There it had a list of signatures, and small notes of thank you of celebrities, important icons, and people he saved in World War II. There were vintage posters hanging around, and a replica of his legendary shield. Other than that, the apartment was modernized, with equipment Steve would have never thought he would have needed (seriously, what was wrong with a manual can opener?). In the living room he had a large T.V, a vintage radio, and a comfortable leather couch. He tossed his jacket aside, and plopped on the couch. He actually had a date! Was it a date? or was it just "hanging out?" He didn't know... but he felt good about it. "You have no idea how to talk to a woman, do you?" Her voice rang through his head... He knows that she would have wanted for Steve to move on... Steve knew that she did. He visited his section in the Smithsonian, and it broke his heart to see that she was interviewed about him... and it was a bitter sweet moment when he found out that she married... maybe this was a sign. When he had a break in his work (which he wasn't too trusted in anymore), a very nice and beautiful woman moves in? Steve took a lot of huge decisions in his life... and jumping in the dark to try and get a date with Miss Sharon Carter was a big one... Did she know who he was? Would that change anything if she did? Would she be grossed out that she was technically going to spend her day tomorrow with a 92 year old man? Or is she doing this because she felt bad for the guy? He didn't know... but he hoped that it was Steve that she liked. Steve got up from the couch as the news reported on Tony Stark making a flashy appearance at a restaurant today. He opened the list of song era's and artists to play, selected it, and let it play in his apartment. He turned off the volume of his tv, changed in to athletic fit clothes, and did what he always did when he was home: exercise... but this time, it wasn't Peggy Carter that was on his mind.
