Once the sun fully sets, Michael awakens. When he sits up, he's greeted by his brother handing him the plate of bread and water. "Eat up. You need to regain your strength." Leon says. Michael takes the plate and rations it, eating and drinking his share in less than ten minutes. Leon does the same with his ration. Once through with their meals, the two brothers walk to the edge of the cage and analyze the wards placed at the camp borders. "They don't seem very strong...will our magic work here?" Michael states. "We may find out soon enough...for now, let's allow time to pass." Leon responds.
where before men and women in armor with weapons at their sides or in their hands where moving about doing their work while the odd man or woman in robes was wandering about, setting the mystical defenses up and getting resource management out of the way now there were hardly any people in armor wandering about and those that are look like they'd recently been injured or seen battle in some way that made them not worthy of guarding during the day while the people in robes are about seeming to carry out their work of getting walls and more permanent structures built with the wood that had been gathered by the day crew, some worked on getting fields planted with seeds and tools that were already being brought in through the portal, and others continued to bring supplies other than seeds and tools in through the portal. it was obvious that these people were expecting to make this fortress a permanent outpost and that the current wood architecture would be reinforced and added on to with stone as time went on, rendering the fort a castle in the making which had a fairly sizable chance of becoming a staging point for a multidimensional invasion if things continued and people higher up were as self rightious in their assumptions that everything they saw fell into their grip
