It's kind of dumb for your parents to force feed you their religion. Lmao what if you said you wanted to be Muslim? Would they burn you at the stake?
Oh and vortex to answer your question about why people think you are evil try looking at how you talk. you put down religion. For some it is the only thing that grounds them to living. Which may be a weak trait to rely on something or someone to live but why would you take that away from them? If that is what they need then whatever. Do I think a lot of the religious rules are BS? Sure, and do I think they should force their beliefs onto others and put people down for not believing or even scaring or terrorizing people for going against their faith? Hell no. but you putting someone down who has some sort of faith in some higher being down makes you no better. That is why they think you are evil. I believe in what I want to hell I'll believe in the Jedi code if I want to, But I wont put others down for their beliefs. I think it is great that you have such a great trust in science and know enough to make a well organized argument, but why take the energy to attack someone for no reason? did anyone call you a dirty atheist? I just don't understand where the whole "we dont believe in their personal sky daddy" came from. It isn't necessary to prove your point. You can make an argument and not be nasty about it.
