Damien hung his head and sighed painfully. "Ah. Forget what I said. I'm sorry. I can't put you in danger by taking you with me. I'd be failing all around." He clenched his right hand into a fist. "There is no way to protect everyone and uphold my honor. Gyah! I am torn!" More softly he confessed. "I wish I had any faith remaining, any true god to believe in to pray to for help."
