And for Jel-chan~ The Nagatsuka Clan An old Lyranian lineage with its roots in a group of refugees attempting to keep away from the destruction and chaos of the Great War. Despite the majority being visibly human, the members have consistently displayed capabilities surpassing inhuman beings through sufficient application of magecraft. Each child in the Nagatsuka Clan is born with something called an 'Inheritance'. A special technique or skill unique to an individual, related to their personal application of magecraft. They originally started off as a peaceful, independent faction focused on protecting their own territory and minding their own business during the Great War. However, the Nagatsuka's soon found themselves as rather instrumental to the successes and downfalls of many groups once their particular set of skills were discovered by the first few armies to attempt an assault against their ancestral territory and be pushed back, seemingly with no effort on part of the Nagatsukas. Their skills laid in theft, espionage, assassination, and many other shady skills, all to be provided to a group for the right price. After the Great War, the many members of the Nagatsuka Clan acted as a sort of 'secret police' for Tsurara Ria, a network of spies and informants, and, when the need arose, kidnappers and killers. Make no mistake, the legendary freelancers weren't subdued by the actions of the Fujiwaras and Tsuraras, they were still as neutral as ever. It was just that the payments provided by Tsurara Ria tended to sway much of their support over to her end. Eventually, the Tsuraras would be dethroned and the Nagatsukas began returning to their ancestral lands within the most remote areas of Lyranias. That is, until the coup of the Tsurara Clan in the 2480's. This time the two clans found themselves on opposite sides of the battlefield. The Nagatsukas had betrayed the trust the Tsuraras put into them by visiting with peaceful pretences and then attacking, preventing a political coup and putting a rift between the two clans.
