Try to be less liberal with your exclamation points, preferably reserve them for dialogue, that's my only concern. Considering you'll only get one post before you're off the ship, however, you won't be able to meet with any other colonists until you're off the boat since your post limit is reached. That shouldn't be a problem though. 

Glad the ball is rolling. Are you not doing a collab with your partner, Warm Regret? I think Feb has a titanpad open, and it would make things easier.
