has everyone's heros arrived on the scene? also i had a question about the properties of sam's darkness area of effect attack.

does it blot out the sun? is it a big black force field type deal that absorbs all localized visible light? if someone were to turn on a light within the darkness, would that light be instantly absorbed or just not be able to travel very far, kinda of like a "darkness fog"? does night vision still work?
