he finds that the town is full of harbors and jobs for any wanderer if he was alright with working menial tasks like cleaning stables, working at an inn for various ways, to even just cleaning in the barracks of the town guard. there are plenty of opportunities for someone that doesn't mind doing things that would be seen as demeaning.
