I feel the desire to start announcing certain game mechanics relating to the 'living world' aspect of my game, as they may very soon become pertinent.

Every so often, there will be news broadcasts from one of the many major news networks, not unlike the one at the very top of the OP.

They shall (hopefully) add a bit of humour while also providing a vital aspect in information distribution ICly - anything on the news is known by all characters as soon as its broadcast. It is highly likely this will be where any GM notes go as well (underneath it in a hider for immersion purposes of course).

These broadcasts may occasionally contain reports on player actions! If someone has done something in such a way as to be both newsworthy and easy for the reporters to know about, you can be sure the whole galaxy will know about it pretty quickly.

They may also serve as an announcing point for any mishaps that occur... and they most certainly will occur. Stay tuned for more on that.
