Today was worse than every other day. While on other days we didn't have too much work while the kids were eating, today: 1. We had meatballs. Seems ordinary, right? 2. Some kids don't like meatballs. Eh. 3. Sauce goes with meatballs, so there'll be some walking around asking if kids want sauce. No biggie. 4. Turns out a lot of kids don't like meatballs. Now we also have to go around asking if kids want pretzels. 5. For the other half of kids, we have to go around giving them an extra meatball when they're finished. 6. The games today were supposedly really, really tiring, and so we had to go around non-stop refilling waters. 7. That means that since nearly every one of us is walking around the tables serving with trays and pitchers and lots of other stuff, there is a lot of traffic. Bumping around ensues. 8. There are so many kids raising their hands at once, we have to ask each and every one what they want so we can know whether to give what we have to them or not. Thankfully, I was serving water, so kids just held out their cups. All that stuff together made that the most hectic day of all the days.
