^ I already did. I'll neglect commenting on it in full, but suffice to say I think its even more silly than the Anglo-French blockade of the Atlantic Ocean and declaration of war on the United States of America. Any amount of realism has gone out the window at this point, not necessarily in the tone of writing, but in the actual actions and decisions being made.
Says the guy who conquered Belgium *cough*
Even if we pretend that there is anything more than a superficial relationship between the Turks of Anatolia and the Turkic peoples of Central Asia (especially in the late 19th century), what relation do the have to the Turks?
*Read in as patronising a voice as possible* Once upon a time, long ago, the Mongols did a lot of baaaad things. They conquered many places. Like China. And much of Russia. And they even reached Anatolia and eastern Europe. That was looong ago. The Mongol Empire broke up into many pieces. Many converted to Islam. They had wars with the non-Muslim Mongols. They grew weak, and China regained its independence. Over the years, Mongols settled all over the place. The Tatars, Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Turks and others, are all linked with those Mongols and the Chinese they mingled with in some way or another. The end. I don't think we need to look that much deeper in to this.
