Despite the semi intimidating appearance Milo carries it is just to keep people away, inside he wasn't bad. And just like all people he was easily bored, sure he just got to Beacon, sure life was finally [hopefully] gonna get good, but nothing seemed to be happening. Might as well take advantage of one of the few things he knew, how to play guitar he didn't know what else he could really do. 

Sitting in front of the statue of the Beowolf he began playing the first song he heard when he woke up from his accident, Little Miss America by Everlast.
