"Thank you," Nixie said, blushing as she took the clothes from Tristan. She put them on and took a deep breath. She was in agreement with the other girls. They were like this and for all they knew, it would be a forever thing. Andrea's idea about going back to Mako really appealed to her; she had Mako on her mind ever since she learned about it when she was a little girl, and now that she was a mermaid, Mako felt like it was more or less a part of her. It was a silly thought, but felt so true. "We should go back to Mako the first chance we get," she said, nodding toward Andrea. "Good idea. I'm dying to get some samples of the crystals and to see the pool again... The moon pool." If the pool had turned them, than what were the chances that other people on the island had been turned? Or could there be other pools like that all over the world that turned people into merfolk? The idea excited her, but it was frightening as well. If the wrong person knew about them, they could be in a lot of trouble. "It's safe to say that for now, we can't tell anybody about this." She reached up and grabbed Tristan and Andrea's hands, squeezing them in hers.
