Kuro can not suppress a chuckle as Aoba talks about wrangling turkeys and reaches up, ruffling his hair gently. Pulling him in close he presses a warm kiss to the boy's temple before tugging on his hair softly. “The turkeys and the chickens can take care of themselves, they'll bed down when they're good and ready in their appropriate shelters, don't you worry. The only ones we have to take care of are the cows and chickens.” He waves a hand” Larger farms with more room to graze can leave their animals out overnight, sheep mostly, however we don't have the room here to be letting them eat as much as they want for as long as they want. We'd run out of grass.” Thinking back to where it was left Kuro decides to assign the book Father Gerard had left them as reading material for bedtime reading as they pull up to the gate. Looking over his shoulder he whistles for Dani. The smaller demon appears a few seconds later, looking at his little brother with a curious gaze. Kuro gives him a smile and point off to where the cows and sheep are, spread out across the area. “Care to give us a hand? You get to scare some animals.” Dani's eyes narrow, trying to judge if Kuro is telling the truth. Finally he gives a little nod and a shrug. Kuro grins. “Okay, the job is easy. You need to scare those animals,” He points to the cows and sheep, “Through this gate. Think you can handle it?” Dani snorts. “And I thought this might be something actually challenging. I can do that, easy.” His wings crack as the snap out, ready for flight. As he rises into the air Kuro looks to Aoba. “Go in the barn and make sure the right pens are open, then take up the place you were in before. I'll stay here and make sure they don't bolt for the road. Through this little avenue between the fence and the barn.” He smiles warmly. “You can handle it, just keep your wings out so they see a wall and turn.” Once Aoba is on his way Dani takes off like a shot, rocketing around the field. Not really knowing how to drive them as a herd only one or two animals come towards the opening at once and the risk of the angel getting trampled stays very low. ~*~*~*~*~ The arc angel slides into his chair, a minor emergency with one of the younger staff and a concoction it wasn't ready for having cropped up in his absence now dealt with and all things in heaven now back on their normal course. He heaves a long sigh, trying to relax. However it isn't long before he finds his gaze wandering to the right hand drawer on his desk. Inside he swears he can almost feel the mirror calling to him. His over protective instincts making him feel that perhaps it is. Perhaps Aoba is in trouble, and calling out for help. 'Which is complete folly. Even if he was in trouble, he would not be calling out. . .Not for divine help at least. Last I saw, that large demon was taking care of things rather well, despite it all. . . .Why. . . .' He shakes his head, slamming his mind down on that line of thought, already given himself a headache trying to figure out the 'why' of it all. With another long sigh he almost has to force his hand out to pull open the drawer holding the mirror, then with trepidation he uncovers it, looking into it's depths. It takes a few seconds for the image to clear but when it does and he spots the little angel once more, he can not stop the ache in his chest from once more seeing those gray tainted wings.
