I like you? Did she say that? Sure he got that a lot, being America's icon... but this wasn't the same! And as she squeezed his arm he had to stop himself from staring. He didn't mind one bit that she now laced her fingers with his, or that she was so close that he could smell her sweet perfume, or she was smiling and seemed happy... He saw looks of awe and envy on the ferry. People seemed to think that they were cute together, and he would agree with them... but this was just a date... He didn't want to set anything in stone only because he didn't want to rush this... and he felt a small bit of guilt. He could still see Peggy Carter's stern stare, then see it turn in to a smile (which was rare when she was working)... but this whole thing of him being in this world now was to move on, right? The boat ride was short for his liking, and he only hoped that he could hold her hand for as long as possible. he didn't want it to be awkward though... but it wasn't. He didn't feel awkward, or someone who was being treated like a king. For once since he was unfrozen, he felt comfortable. Steve and Sharon eventually made it back to his bike. the temperature seemed to not be letting up... "Alright. Next stop: the grocery store." Steve stated with a smile, handing her the helmet once more, and climbing on to the bike, waiting for her arms to reach around his torso again before taking off.
