It had been a long time since Sharon had been this happy and this content. The last time she remembered this happiness was visiting her aunt in the hospital. Her aunt just filled her head with stories from her experiences in life which was beautiful and inspiring and helped her get through a rough time in her life. Her aunt was a wonderful person and had an upbeat personality that helped Sharon find hers that she was showing now. If it wasn’t for her aunt, she would not be the person she was today; not at all. Thank you Aunt Peggy and bless your passed soul. The walk to the bike was nice and the fact that he didn’t push her away was even more enjoyable. She fought back the urge to lay her head on his shoulder; she didn’t want to push anything since it was their first date… wait, would this be their only date? Or would they have more? Oh please oh please let there be more! The few glances she got seemed to be a mix of envious girls and couples who thought they were cute. Yes, they were cute together; she thought so too and there was no need for jealousy, she just happened to be with the best guy in New York City… okay maybe that would be something to be jealous over. A small laugh escaped her as she took the helmet from Steve and strapped it onto her head once again. “Off we go!” She said in a cheery voice as she climbed onto the back of his bike and wrapped her small arms around his waist as they took off. The trip to the grocery store near their apartment complex was a short one but a nice one none the less. She felt less awkward being close to him after the ferry ride so she was able to lean up comfortable against him as they rode but when they arrived she pulled his helmet off of her head and climbed off the bike, much less wobbly this time. And this time when she took his hand she was very hesitant on letting it go. Would he be okay with holding her hand through the grocery store or would that be awkward for him? Last time they had a reason to, they needed to not lose each other in the crowd but this time they didn’t have an excuse. She left her hand in his for a moment as she turned her gaze up to meet his. “Shall we?” Giving him the choice to let her hand go or not.
