Lysander clutched the grip of his pistol tightly, sliding in the now fully loaded clip. He pondered the Headmaster's unexpected offer. Could he join the Guild? He had not previously considered this as a possible option, for he did not want to stay in one place very long. However, if he were to join the Guild, he would be taking up marks and constantly be moving. Plus, he would be under the Guild's protection, and the Legion would be unlikely to dare to send assassins into an armed civilian business. He walked to the window and peered through the blinds again. He did not want to think about what waited for him out in the darkness. Was he really ready to try his luck on the streets again? He turned back to the Headmaster, and glanced at Vesper before speaking. "I accept." The Headmaster nodded. Whether he was aware of Lysander's situation, he had clearly expected an affirmative answer from him. The Headmaster spoke: "Alright then. If you two follow me, I can show to you a place to stay for the night. Tomorrow you can move into more permanent accommodations in the dormitories." He gestured for them to follow, and proceeded up a flight of stairs. Though the Headquarters building was primarily for business, the second floor boasted a single bedroom with four beds. Lysander was relieved to set down his weapons.
