As some have said before, it's all about finding the right people. I don't RP anymore [last time I did was 2012, I think], but I'm sure that if a certain black guy can have the stroke of luck to find me on IRC and tell me about something, I'd join it [not taking into account time constraints, lel].
"Stroke of Luck." ;D ANyway, I prefer the standard split to the genre split. It puts people in places they feel best at. And so far, it's worked for me. I've seen Allaria through two chapters of completion and could probably make it through a third. I came from Myyearbook's forums, and that... that wasn't terrible, once people started using paragraphs, but since there weren't many threads that weren't interconnected to the big multiverse, we had a mix of people. Paragraphs, one liners, etc., etc. When I joined Guild, I was happy. I learned that I was more Casual, but eventually became advanced. The biggest problem, as said before, usually comes down to people. Guild has a small attention span and with the sheer amount of games to play... people join others, as said before, and slowly stretch themselves thin. Also, misconstrued notions of each section and how there is a bias against them. I don't do Free, I only put my Bleach RP in Casual, and the rest are in advanced. It works for me. Sure, games don't get completed, but I don't expect most of them too. People have lives, people lost interest. Just have fun.
