The small laptop began to whirr softly as Andrew just pressed the power button. He comtinued to brush his teeth as his computer started up. Having no appointments scheduled and no classes, Andrew had decided to stay in his Old Naveria apartment. It was worn, but homely, and beared marks of a time of smoke and steel, back when Naveria was founded. It was cheap too, and in one of the better parts of the quadrant. He spat out the excess foam and washed his face, and walked back to the table where his laptop sat waiting, ready to be used. He grabbed it and sat on the couch, the keyboard clicking as he ran through his daily technological mantra. By the time he finished, it was almost lunch. He got up from the couch and checked the refrigerator and cabinet, both of which had nothing. He sighed. I guess I will have to go outside today, he thought to himself. Andrew slipped his shoes on and grabbed his keys and wallet, and walked out into the street, making sure to close the door behind him, setting off at a moderate pace.
