His heart sank immediately as the silence began, and he felt like he could go in a hole and die when she started laughing at his question... He didn't take it personally though. He looked away a bit as she finished the pie, really feeling like an idiot... He looked at her when she apologized again, and he probably was drooling on how she looked at him.
