Thanks for the concern, but it really doesn't overheat. Like I said, it's using an energy-saver bulb - those are the kind that don't generate very much heat, which is kind of what makes them energy-savers (though the joke I was attempting there clearly fell flat :X ). 

As for the Whovian thing, I've been into it for a while but I guess it wasn't until recently that I started getting [i]really[/i] into it as a result of watching Classic Who.
