Sitting in front of a thick computer screen, a man’s blue gaze scanned the showed information. Something wasn’t right on his favorite planet, earth. Humans were a bunch of moronic apes but they had some amoral qualities that shouldn’t be overlooked. Aside from that, there was a consistent questioning throughout the races of the world as to why Earth was so important and why it deserved to live. Aliens room galaxies near and far came to the little planet to observe and study them, much like the captain of the Tardis, but others came with a more devious purpose; to make the planet their own. The man behind the screen with the blue eyes, short cut hair, big nose, full lips and large ears had been a frequent visitor to the planet. Not just in the year 3013 but many times before. Visiting and meeting many individuals of the planets rich history; watching it evolve and change throughout many years of wild antics and upbeat patterns of life. This man had met many memorable figures from William Shakespeare to all the kings and queens of Great Britain and in one form or another as single handedly saved the world from a crazy impending doom. And what does this man have to show for his hard work and dedication to a race he finds inferior? Nothing. “Oi!” His deep voice echoed around the empty chamber. “The Slitheens are at it again.” The screen popped up with some jumbled looking words and his finger pointed to the screen, reading a text. “Hm…” He looked a bit reluctant to head back to earth. “It’s always the Slitheens, give them an inch and they take a whole foot; or a body, depending on how they feel about it.” A cheeky grin moved across his face as he looked around the empty area, his smile melted from his face to a look of sadness. Oh that’s right, he left his companion back on his home planet a long time ago. Traveling alone for who knows how long and no one was around to hear his witty, oddly place anecdotes was really getting to the poor guy. But that was his life, the everlasting life of a Time Lord; particularly The Doctor. Taking in a large breath of air, he made his choice and started the Tardis up. Back to earth he went… 2013 – Earth The Tardis appeared with an echoing noise and a gust of wind in an alley way in the back streets of London. Stepping out, The Doctor shut the door and locked it behind him. Slipping his key away he pulled out his sonic screwdriver and pushed a button. A light began to blink as he started walking down the alley and turned the corner. Shaking his head he pointed the device in one direction, than in another; obviously disappointed with the results he let out a long groan and shoved it back into the inside pocket of his black jacket. “Did you read that fictional story in the Kilburn Times?” A man asked as he walked by The Doctor talking to another gentleman in a black suite. “Yes actually I did, it was pretty good for a story about aliens with a zipper.” The other man commented as they continued to walk. A look of excitement spread across The Doctor’s face; that was the exact lead he needed. Dashing to the nearest news stand he plucked the titled paper from its holder and pushed it open. Eyes scanning like a wild fire he found the article he was looking for and his expression turned to one of complete joy. Attention darting to the man behind the counter he asked, “Do you know where this office is? I’d like to talk to the young lady who wrote the article.” After getting rather simple directions from the simple creature he placed the paper back down and took off in a sprint in the direction. Arriving at the entrance to the building he took a deep breath and adjusted his jacket, flattened his hair and put on a cheeky grin before entering. Walking to the counter he leaned against it and inquired, “Excuse me; I’m looking for a Miss Jennifer Collins. Is she available for a quick chat?” The little girl behind the counter gave him a nod and led him through a maze of cubicles and desks before stopping at one with a smile before leaving. "Hello!" His voice was full of excitement as he sat down in the chair in front of her, not taking into mind that it was a random act to have someone sit down in front of their desk and start blathering off question after question but then again, The Doctor was never too good with social interactions and norms of the Human race. "I thought your article in the paper was fantastic and I came to ask where you drew your inspiration from?"
