Well its edited now and i'll keep that in mind for future reference. It wasn't, for me at least, a matter of bad-assery or bruised egos. I simply didn't see him reasonably reacting in any other way. Even with the edit it feels unnatural for him to just do nothing but for the sake of peace I'm going to ride it out and hopefully establish him more as a character later without betraying him too much.
