A city, seemingly cut off from the rest of the world, sits in invisible containment as hundreds of people 
panic and turn against each other. Many confused citizens ask, Why? Why has our country betrayed us?
Locked us in our own home? Why is there a reflective barrier surrounding the city... 
Why has the power been shut off? 

It happened a few weeks ago. An experiment gone wrong, at once contained in a lab, had broke free and 
escaped into the city. Slowly, people were dissapearing. Police had no explanation, and news feeds were 
becoming frantic with stories of missing people. And then, the army arrived. Surrounding the exits of the city. 
No one got out, or in. Some people began to panic, taking to the streets and robbing stores of their things. 

Then the city went black. It happened mid day, and it wasn't until night that people began to really get frantic. 
The sounds of screams out on the streets kept many people inside. Those that dared, watched from their 
windows shakily as dark figures dashed along the sidewalks under the moonlight. Their figures were not human, 
nor were their movements. They were fast, and agile. Almost as if they were boneless. But that was impossible. 

As dawn arrived the next day, many were afraid to leave their homes. Those that did found bloodied spots on 
the streets, but no signs of bodies. It was a dark day for many. A realization that they were no longer the top 
of the food chain. In fact they were more like small pieces of fish food, floating slowly towards the bottom of the bowl.

Hello! This is a basic idea for a roleplay I've been thinking about. Our characters will meet each other some how, 
maybe a family member was killed and they're out searching for answers, or maybe they're found hiding and offer 
to come along. Either way it will end up a group of people trying to figure out a way to combat these 'Shades' and 
win back their and their cities freedom.
