Laius was rather surprised to see another rider engaging the leader of the force, especially after he had claimed the fool for his own. His eyes kept a rather on the wild aerial chase, javelins claiming the sky. He kept a close hold on his wind spell, out of fear that he might strike the white rider during one of the instances the two closed in on each other. He found an opportunity to strike just as it seemed the Ylissean captain was to take the victory for her own, his spell striking true. She seemed to try to counter his spell with her own, but the strength of his magic easily overpowered the captain and his gale butchered the pegasus' wings. This seemed to leave the opening that the other rider needed to take the win. Laius followed the captain as she plummeted to the ground to join her comrades in the afterlife. The cowardly Ylisseans who remained scattered when they saw their leader fall, leaving Laius to chuckle at their feebleness. As was to be expected of such lesser troops, scattering before the might of Plegia. The prince's vision was then graced by the fair haired knight whom he has assisted moments before. He summoned up a dazzling smile to the woman as she thanked him for his intervention. "It was my pleasure to assist such a graceful warrior in combat." He assured her, before continuing with his introduction. "I am Laius of Plegia," He bowed his head slightly "Might I ask your name? It would be a true crime to not find out more about such a beautiful woman. Especially one who holds such talent with a lance." There was nary a wrong time to feed a compliment or two to a woman. True, speaking with the other Shepards was probably a good idea about now, especially considering he had overheard the wyvern rider of the bunch mentioning Ylissean troops positioning themselves around the capital, but it could wait until he got to know this rather fine young woman a bit better.
