"The only exciting thing that ever happens on this beach is when I have to blow my whistle to tell somebody to get away from somewhere. People here are too good at not needing a lifeguards help," he said with a chuckle. "What about you? I'd imagine working in a coffee shop isn't much more interesting, if not for the customers." She chuckled at his response and took a sip of her now room temperature coffee. "Well, surprisingly, my day has been a bit more exciting than yours." She began, leaning closer to him. "We had a customer come in that wanted some weird drink that we didn't know how to make and kept yelling at us because we couldn't understand him. I'm pretty sure he was drunk." She told Lucas, shaking her head a bit. "And then some lady spilled coffee on her self and we had to call an ambulance for her because she burned herself so badly in... all the wrong places." Claire explained, her cheeks growing red from the topic. "But... other than that, it's been pretty normal." She finished, putting her drink down on the table. "I wouldn't have thought my day would be more interesting than that of a lifeguard's." She told him, chuckling.
