In his panic, he shot off a beam of light before falling to the ground where he stayed, trying to control his breathing. Suddenly the bullet made sense. Back when John was working for the Agency, the Big Man up Top had always warned his assassins about the Shadow Complex. They were another agency that killed meta-humans. Apparently, they had taken some of the Agency's men down. He knew that this was them. The same way you know that someone's about to die in a horror movie. He just knew. As the smoke began to clear, John saw Armelia get thrown back as she tried to chase after Serenity's captor. Shit. They had Serenity. He saw Jezebel in the air as well and shouted to the rest of the team, "Guys! This guy isn't an average villain. His job is to take people like us down! If we want to take him down, we'll need all of us!"
