******************** Ryomi Fiett Leitannia vs. Bloodshot (Match 1) ******************** She didn't care that he was taunting her. In fact it was a good sign. A cocky opponent is quite often a dead one. Plus he did nothing to stop her from completing the energy coating on her blade. Just as he was talking about no initiative she moved in close to him at speeds reaching 40 miles an hour, swinging her weapon horizontally from right to left at neck level as she got within range, her power likely enough to cleave straight through his armor and his neck like butter. If her plan would work then that would shut him up real quick. Her sister might not like the fatality, but she'd get over it. This man, if what he said earlier was to be believed, was a menace to society equally or more so to almost any evil spirit she had encountered. ******************** Cellinli Lienfeld vs. Niks (Match 1) ******************** The appearance of a sudden fog freaked her out, as it was, at least in her mind, almost certainly the result of ghosts or the supernatural of evil inclination. In this circumstance her assumption was actually true and this really was a ghost town to be feared. If she wasn't very careful she'd end up a ghost as well. Being careful in a fog was proving difficult, however. If she reached any sort of high speed she nearly crashed into an unseen obstacle every time, only barely leaving herself enough time to react and swerve out of the way. Sometimes it was fallen tree branches, sometimes rubble, somehow all appearing as if out of thin air specifically to block her escape. As luck would have it, or bad luck in her case, she ended up somehow reversing course, which she only realized when she spotted the same flaming eyes as before. She skidded to a halt on her blades, then detached them from her boots and wielded them in her hands. She was getting nowhere fast with all this running around. Rather than tire herself out, she'd put her strength to good use by taking out whoever's responsible for this. For all she knew it was this fowl being, and even if he wasn't it would still help to take him out so he wouldn't be a threat later on, or to possibly get information out of him if he does happen to know who could be creating this fog. For now she'd ask a question, just in the off chance he'd be willing to answer, and then she'd attack if it wasn't satisfactory. "Do you know who's creating this fog?" ******************** Evvie vs. Aurelia (Match 1) ******************** Evvie's eyes traced her opponent as she leapt to her right. This girl was fast; much faster than expected to completely get out of attack range when she was nearly on top of her. Despite that surprise attack this battle was beginning to get a bit fun again. In a game of cat and mouse Evvie was clearly the cat, so it was up to her to try and catch her. If that happened Evvie was confident she could win decisively. But of course the catching is the tricky part judging by the speed of that dodge just now. Despite not being the sharpest crayon in the box she does recognize a charging magical spell when she sees one, being in a lot of fights over the years, so it was in her best interest to get dodging as soon as possible. She allowed herself to drop to the ground in the empty space where her opponent had been standing and where she was planning on punching, so it wasn't hard to let her already swinging momentum swing her on downward. It was still a close call as the energy whizzed past the nape of her neck, messing up her hair beyond what any bad hair day could result in, although that was the least of her worries. This split second dodge caused her no backup plan on how to deal with the aftermath, so she was on a collision path with the earth and landed ungracefully on her stomach with a thud. She turned her head and breathed out a small torrent of fire as an attempt to perhaps ward off any attempt to take advantage of her vulnerable position until she could get back onto her feet.
